MAY 23 & 24TH: FSHS SPORTS PHYSICALS @ FSMS
Your Tiger student-athlete will need a sports physical dated after May 1, 2023, to participate in Fall, Winter, Spring Tiger Sports next school year, 2023-24.
KSHSAA has issued a new form for physicals.

Spring into Summer Self-Care Fair!
This will be a fun night focused on self-care and good mental health! Come for dinner, enjoy the orchestra, and learn some tips about self-care. The Fort Scott High School Choir is hosting a baked potato bar fundraiser! For just $7, you’ll get a baked potato with your choice of toppings, a drink, and dessert. All funds raised will support the students’ trip to Orlando next May. The choir will travel with the band to participate in an educational workshop at Universal Studios.

The FSHS Varsity Choir represented our school and community very well at State Basketball in Salina. They had an outstanding performance and received multiple compliments!

For the first time in Fort Scott High School history, there will be a Lady Tiger Swimming relay team competing @ State. Fort Scott High School has four girls who have qualified for the 5A-1A State Swim Meet in Topeka this weekend. We are excited for these athletes and wish them the best of luck this weekend!

FUN DURING ACTIVITY PERIOD!
The Challenge: build the tallest tower with seemingly impossible materials!
Students were tasked with building a free-standing tower with 25 spaghetti noodles, a yard of tape, a foot of string and topped by a large marshmallow.
All activity periods competed and Mr. Parks's AP claimed victory with a tower of 36'5".

School Immunization Requirements
Your child MAY need a meningitis vaccine to meet the minimum state law requirements for immunizations in Kansas under statute K.S.A. 72-6262:
Meningococcal-Serogroup A,C,W,Y (MenACWY): Two doses required. Doses should be given at entry to 7th grade (11-12 years) and 11th grade (16-18 years). For children 16-18 years, with no previous MenACWY, only one dose is required.
If your child has received the vaccine requested, please send verification to the school and your child’s immunization records will be updated. Vaccines are available through your child’s physician, CHC (620)223-8040, and SEKMCHD (620)223-4464.
